Daaaa-aaad! What’s for Dinner?
I like cooking for a family the size of ours, particularly when everyone can get on the same page and decide what they want for whatever meal I happen to be concocting at the time. There are, of course, certain times when it’s a drudge; either because it seems like it’s not appreciated by certain wee-ones, or some grouping (clumping, really) of the wee-ones gets the idea that I’m supposed to be wearing a short-order cook’s hat and ringing a bell…“Order’s UP!”
Yeah. Well, I do try my best; and, sometimes I just don’t feel like it. Frankly, folks, I’m amazed I still have my sanity left. Particularly at this stage of my life.
Anyway, something’s up for dinner, tonight, and it’s a family favorite (and I’ve only made this particular dish once before) that I’ll give you the recipe for…well, sort-of.
Here’s everything you need…not here…down there {point-point}.

Well, not actually everything, because I’m holding-out on 5 specific ingredients; one of which the family is aware of, and four of which they will probably never catch me adding to the mix. Why? Well…because there has to be something distinctive about a good recipe that amounts to a personal state secret.
Yeah. Maybe not, but it’s simply more fun to do it that way.
At any rate, once you combine all the stuff you see up there (plus my five state secrets), you get the steamy bowl-o-goodness, below.

BTW: Never ask any cook to reveal anything approaching my own “five state secrets”…it’s beyond rude and crass in the mere inquiry.
