Dear Parent/Caregiver,
Your enrollment for [full student name masked] has been approved, and we are pleased to welcome you and your student to the CAVA @ Kern.
If you are new to CAVA-K, you will be receiving an additional email that contains information on how to access the Online School (OLS). If you already have students enrolled in the school, then you will use your existing OLS account to access courses for [student first name masked].
Please note that if you log in to the OLS before the start of the school year, you may not see any courses for your student. Your student’s courses will be added to your OLS account about a week before the first day of the school year. You will be receiving further communications from your school regarding upcoming parent orientations, teacher assignments, and other important information to ensure a successful start to the school year.
Your student’s course materials and computer, will be shipped approximately two to three weeks before the start of the school year. When you turn on your school-issued computer, you will need to enter a user name and password. The user name for your computer is [username masked], and the password is [password masked].
After receiving your student’s materials, please confirm you have all of the items listed on the packing lists that are enclosed with the materials. If you find that you have missing, damaged, or incorrect materials, please use the following link to report the issue to us:
[url masked].
Again, we welcome you to CAVA-K and we hope that you have a wonderful school year!
Sincerely,
The CAVA-K Enrollment Processing Team

What this means is that our son needs to go to Millikan tomorrow, to say good bye to his friends and those few teachers who have treated him better than something approximating LBUSD chattle; and to turn-in all instructional materials to which he has no entitlement.
Since, according to our son, Millikan has offered him nothing more advanced than what he already learned in his end-of-6th-grade to beginning/middle-of-7th-grade years; we can say that he is far better-off not having to deal with district policy-drones anymore.
BTW: He sat-in on his first French course this very evening. He’s enthusiastic at the prospect that he will actually learn something, other than being the target for an idiot LBUSD administrator’s intolerance, this calendar year.
