Uniforms + LBUSD Socialization = Socialism?
Seeing as the two pieces of district party-line that come our way seem to relate to either the resounding successes of mandatory school uniforms and the value of the socialization children receive in a public school setting; I decided to do a Google search relative to the comparative socialization of home-schooled and public-schooled children–just for kicks.
Taking a wander through the hits obtained from the Google search link above, you’ll discover that there exists a body of research since circa-1994 that refutes the self-serving position, long-held by the public schools in the United States of America, relative to the issue of childhood socialization. Here are just a few examples of the information you’ll find:

Some will find this to be unbelievable. I do not.
This, unfortunately, is institutionalized fear and ignorance–by: Dave Arnold.
That last link is typical of the NEA party rhetoric; which seeks to conceal the dirty truth that anyone who has stood in front of a classroom knows all too well: Almost anyone, who is sufficiently motivated and possesses an appropriate sense of concern for their own children, can educate their child(ren) far better than the public school system can.
Let me tell you, folks, if you’re in the mood to wade through faked research; you only need look as far as the reports prepared by the tobacco industry and the LBUSD.
