The last three packages in this shipment just landed on our door step; the contents of which easily convince me that we need a larger curriculum shelf–and a larger residence–given that we have 3 backordered standard materials boxes (2 - Art 4 & 1 - LArts 3) yet to cram into the school shelves.
Anyone out there good at carpentry? Drop me a note sometime.

Now, as I think about this whole thing getting started on the 6th of September, I just happened to notice that I should be starting today? (According to the OLS plan as I see it.)
OK. Call me stupid. Call me blonde (I can say that ’cause I’m blonde–sort of). Call me sleep-deprived…whatever.
I really don’t have a problem getting underway today–in fact, I’m very-much in favor of starting early–but the day is just a teensy-bit gone now, and I’m still short 3 backordered curriculum items; and we still have to hop a train and a bus to get over to Back To School Night–over in the Redondo/Torrance area. It’ll be at least 23:00 (11:00 P.M.) before we set foot back in the house tonight.
At any rate, what does this mean for us?
- Does this mean I’m going to have an attendance accountability issue?
- Has our area teacher been assigned yet?
- Is (s)he still in training? (CAliVA picked-up 30 new teachers, this term, according to semi-official statements.)
- What does (s)he have to say about the situation?
- What’s the top-view of how we’re supposed to properly handle the sequence offset?
- Is Michelle or Stephanie in the mood to handle another phone call from us–particularly when they’re so busy right now? (Probably not.)
- Will Lassie be able to save Timmy from the mine before the dynamite explodes?
- Why was Timmy playing with dynamite anyway?
Just asking questions, mind you…no stress on my part.
